The thing about existence is that it's all a fantasy
fighting for your attention and trying to take your sanity
playing on your want to be popular, your vanity 
is always on the line as you ego takes you toward insanity

The thing about success is that it's self-fulfilling
but only if you do what is truly fulfilling
you treat life like crooked teeth trying to get fillings
when you need to take it seriously to make a killing

The thing about you is that you always neglect it
leave it to the wolves and get mad that it's unprotected
looking for someone to accept your imperfections 
when you don't even accept what you neglected

The thing about happiness is that it starts on the inside
your ego always flip-flopping trying to make you switch sides
but your spirit takes a stand and leads you right this time
and shows why life has it's ups and downs and it all rhymes.
