On bended knee as I'm next to this bended tree
taking a sip of water as we bow to the sun
for all it does in making sure we live long enough
to make necessary changes to affect the world,
bring nourishment to the environment like your
favorite girl.

On bended knee as I sit on this tree taking a sip
of water bowing down to partake in nature's offer
drinking my fill as I can never empty it's coffers
unlike meat production that takes animals to the slaughter

On bended knee as I look up at the mighty oak tree,
unmoving even with fierce winds as it will never give in
even as the leaves fall and the season ends, trees never really
face death as they are always reborn again.

On bended knee next to the plant that will one day
become a tree, pouring a splash of water on it to 
help it grow, to unleash it's potential which is more
than I'll ever know.
