There’s nothing wrong with having a family, wanting to be a parent, a father to children you can teach to live a more peaceful existence than you lived as a child.

There’s nothing wrong with leaving a legacy behind through your children, so long as you don’t try to live your life vicariously through them.

However, the problem comes into play when you look at the concept of family as the pinnacle of existence because it is not. Understand that we are the only species on this planet that have a purpose outside the biological imperative and that plenty of use were put here to fulfill such purposes.

Think about the exceptionally gifted and talented, those people were not put here for some biological imperative, to simply have a family and fall by the wayside. Those people were put here to propel the human race in some way, to push society forward, to innovate, to create something meaningful and worthwhile. To leave a legacy outside of having children to walk around aimlessly with minimal to no guidance.

Again, there’s nothing wrong with having a family. However, we as men need to stop looking at that as the pinnacle of existence and understand that we must put ourselves, our goals, visions, and dreams first before starting a family. We must live the lives of kings, lives of immense wealth and contentment, lives of satisfaction before we incorporate something like a family into it.

A family is something that should be apart of the world we’ve already created, not something we center our world around as nowadays, a family can be taken from you at any moment. A family used to be something that would last forever, now it is something only temporary.

Alright, that’s my spiel. Til next week!
