On an afternoon stroll through the city
thinking how life is good 'cause I got my girl with me
but also how she can walk out any time, so it's in my
best interest to have a good time. She here for a good time
not for a long time kinda like I am, but I last for a longer
time that's why my flow's sublime and I got hella rhymes

On an afternoon stroll through the park, thinking on how
to perfect my story's arc. I know I got it down and right from
the start but now I'm at the middle it's starting to fall apart.
I'm not gonna quit 'cause I got a lot of heart. my characters been
faithful as they always play their parts, so what I look like if I give up
and quit, all that work and investment gone to shit.

On an afternoon stroll through the mall, seeing all the people
trying to fake like they ball; when tax season come most these
people gonna fall, right into the trap that was set all along.

On an afternoon stroll through the hood, thinking about how
everybody think they good, I'm trying to grow up and leave the
hood for good but when I ask who feel the same they all say they
wish they could.

On an afternoon stroll through the grass, thinking about
how beautiful nature looks as time passes, thinking about
the senseless destruction by the masses and how time is
unchanging but runs smooth as fabric through the fingers.

On an afternoon stroll through my mind, thinking about
how I can live a life that's mine; struggling to see the vision
I truly have in mind and to overcome the mental blockages
I have inside.
