The fundamental difference between being fit and healthy is that being fit is an outside job while being healthy is an inside job.
Being fit is like the exterior of a Mercedes Benz while being healthy is the engine. It is the foundation to which the car functions and gets you from point A to point B.
Most people equate being fit with being healthy without understanding that people get fit in unhealthy ways, by ingesting meats that have carcinogens and other toxins and parasites making their way into the bloodstream and causing all types of problems.
Being healthy means cultivating a lifestyle that is not only healthy physically, in terms of fitness and food, but healthy mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Being healthy is the thing that will connect you to your spirit. It is the thing that will place you in harmony with nature as you develop a diet that is in accordance with it. When you stop trying to look good and focus on feeling good and ensuring your body is running at peak capacity at all times, you tend to look at life for the beautiful thing it is.
When you focus on making sure your body is healthy, not just fit, you also cultivate a healthy mind and a healthy mind drives you to execute actions that will lead you to a healthy life.
So the question is, do you want to be fit or do you want to be healthy?
You can have both, but you must place being healthy first to live the best and longest life you possibly can.
Alright, that’s my spiel. Til next week!
