The Life Of A Loner

The life of a loner is not what you see in movies and anime.

This shit is tough. Real tough.

You have to look at families spending time together and remember you chose the other route. Happy couples showing PDA, gazing into each other’s eyes like they’re going to be together forever, and remember you chose the other route. Older couple who still look at each other like the best thing since sliced bread, and remember you chose the other route.

All around you, the universe will test you will, your resolve, to see if you are truly dedicated to this way of living.

Yes, there is great bliss to living and being alone, only if you love yourself.

However, to get to this bliss, you’re gonna have to go through some hell. Some incredibly painful hell, and I don’t mean physically.

The hell I’m talking about is mental, emotional, and spiritual.

When living the life of a loner, you have to be brutally honest with yourself. You have to cultivate a level of trust that you’ve never achieved before in your life. Not even with the person you trust the most with your darkest secrets.

Instead of having someone else dive into the deepest parts of you and explore your shadows, you have to do it yourself. Instead of having someone else sift through your bullshit, you have to do it yourself. Instead of having someone else complete your puzzle, you have to do it yourself.

Bottom line, you are the only one you have when you live the life of a loner. And that truth becomes starkly apparent when you realize no one care about you, your successes, your failures, your pains, your joys.

Only you will be there to lift yourself up. To be your own mother and father, to nurture and care for yourself, to take care of your needs. Your mental, emotional, and spiritual needs.

No one is going to do this for you.

You have to do it yourself. However, the funny thing is. . .

that’s how you become the strongest version of yourself.

Alright, that’s my spiel. Til next week!
