Poem Twenty-five

A red rose on a summer’s day
A black rose in a barren field
Blossoming sweetly in peaceful meadows
Braving the unforgiving cold and snow
A ladybug scurries along its petals adding a flavorful color
Frost begins to overcome the rose as the clouds blot out the sun
The sky is clear and the sun shines bright and birds soar
Visibility is low and the snow turns to hail
The red rose stands up straight and drinks in the light
The black rose wilts and bends in the impending storm
