Philosophy of The Abundance Mindset

What is the Abundance Mindset? I’m sure you’ve heard it at one point or another, either on social media, family, friends (those that actually have some insight on life) or even in passing. Even though you may have heard it once or twice, you’ve never heard it thoroughly explained, have you?

Well, that’s what I’m here to try and do.

However, before we get started, I would like to recommend some youtube channels that go into this. Alpha Male Strategies,, Proctor Gallagher Institute. There are more but it would take too much time to look them up. Search for those, check out a few of their videos and let me know what you think in the comments. if you want more recommendations, I’ll send them your way; if not, so be it.

Alright, the idea of an Abundance mindset is “there will always be another”, another job, another girl, another opportunity, another (insert whatever applies to you) anything. It means not attaching yourself to any on place or circumstance in life. It means not accepting scraps from people who clearly don’t care about you.

Having an Abundance mindset will lose you somethings in the sort term but will help you in the long run. In life, you must sacrifice something of a lower nature for something of a higher nature (Bob Proctor). Meaning, those scraps you’re holding onto because they were so hard to come by, you have to let those go if you want better.

Most people think that they’ll hold on to the scraps, find something better, then let go of the scraps. Logically and intuitively, that makes sense. However, life is not intuitive. Life is counterintuitive (

Life doesn’t work in a linear fashion, sometimes you have to go down before you go up. Sometimes you have to step back so you can move forward. I’ll give you an example: I just quit my job today (11/23/19), a job that was scheduling me once every two weeks. I received my check and it was a measly $51.74.

Now, I’m twenty-four years old, I live with roommates but I’m paying my own bills. I used to live in a studio apartment that cost $1240/month (only because daddy warbucks was paying the rent for me). After a year, my father got tired and told me he wasn’t paying the full rent anymore. Knowing I couldn’t afford the place on my own, I found a place I could afford. It was surprisingly easy.

All that being said, I’m a grown man with bills to pay, what the hell is $51.74 going to do for me?

Absolutely nothing.

Although, I was getting paid weekly (I had two jobs whose pay cycles lined up perfectly) and would’ve liked to continue that situation, it wasn’t serving me what I needed; in fact, it would’ve been better if they just fired me, or not hired me in the first place.

That being said, I pulled the plug the day I was supposed to go in because, fuck them. They don’t give a fuck about me anyway. Not that I expect them to or because they’re obligated in any way, which they’re not.

Which brings me back to Abundance Mindset.

You cannot hesitate to get rid of things that don’t serve you. You cannot accept scraps and expect people to treat you and your time with the respect it deserves. You simply cannot. If you accept scraps, you will get scraps.

If you accept scraps, you will get scraps.

However, if you develop an Abundance Mindset, you will know there are hundreds and thousands of jobs out there waiting for you. You will know you do not have to accept this current lot as the best you can do in life. You will know that you are capable of achieving better, that you want better, and that you deserve better.

However, no one is going to give you better. . . you have to take it.

Alright, that’s my spiel. Til next week. . .
