The Strange Castle

It sits on hill, this strange castle.
Flashes of thunder and lightning
Surround it constantly, blood drips
Along its walls and entrails fill
Its moat.
War torn and battle-ridden, its thirst
For blood is insatiable. It breathes haggard
Breaths and the sky blackens. The moat
Bubbles up and the bloody water boils.
The bodies erupt and the remains explode
Intestines, entrails, and reproductive organs
Exposed. Loud thuds and sickening cracks.
The thunder and lightning strike back to back
The drawbridge falls and crushes a skull, a dark
Warrior emerges and seems to be rotting. His body
Deteriorates but his eyes gleam an obsidian black.
Thick smoke emerges behind the warrior and an army
Of the undead rise, damned souls and innocent ones,
Wear armor and stand by the warrior’s side.
The strange castle burps like a giant and farts
Like a fat man, death and decay descend on the forest
Behind it, the forest screams and the leaves die, all fall
Except the creature with malignant eyes.
